The phone rang at 8:30 this morning and after a short while a lady with a foreign accent on a very crackly line says:
'Good Morning this is Lisa from some unpronounceable technology company'.
'Hello' says I.
'I'm ringing about the faults with your computer'.
I say ' I think you have the wrong number, I don't have any faulty computers'.
No!!! Says Lisa 'your name is Cole - can't you get on your computer?'
'Yes I can get on my computer and I don't have any faults' say I.
'So why is your computer registering faulty then?'
I say 'It isn't -
'But it is' says Lisa.
'No it isn't' I say followed by 'I'm not interested - goodbye' as I put down the receiver.
I have no idea what Lisa was trying to sell or scam me with she was probably trying to get me to give out information at least. For a long time now whenever I get these type of calls my usual response is to just answer yes or no and say you called me which has led to some of these caller slamming the phone down on me which is very rude.
The moral here is tell them nothing, let them tell you and just confirm or deny everything
